Collaborative Writing: A Film Review!

I haven’t posted in a while, did you miss me?? 😅 I definitely missed you!
Today, I’m making a comeback with a post about collaborative writing. Have you heard about it before? Well, collaborative writing is basically when written works are created by multiple people together rather than individually. For our ICT class, we had an assignment (again 😁) where we had to complete a collaborative writing task by writing a film review with our group, using Google Docs as our writing tool.
To be honest, the process went quite smoothly. Choosing the film together as a group and exchanging ideas about various films was really fun. We decided on the film Pride & Prejudice since we all loved it. (If you're into romance movies, please give it a go. You’ll love it too, I promise!!) After deciding on the film, we divided the review into paragraphs, and everyone wrote the parts they were responsible for. In the end, we corrected some minor errors and gave it its final shape. We (that is, me, Bernis, and Begüm) are actually quite satisfied with the result!
As I mentioned, we used Google Docs as our writing tool. It really made our job easier by allowing all of us to work on the document collaboratively anytime we wanted. This was super helpful, especially when we couldn’t meet up physically. In those cases, we would just chat about the changes we wanted to make and edit the document right then and there. Also, its interface is quite simple and familiar, so it was easy to design the review the way we liked. Personally, I found Google Docs to be a really useful tool for collaborative writing.
To sum up, it was a really fun and thought-provoking experience, and I think we tackled it well. You know what they say, teamwork makes the dream work. 😎
